How do I manage my photos?

Flickfolia displays your photos in galleries based on Flickr collections and sets. When you create a collection on Flickr, Flickfolia will add a new top nav button. Any set added to that collection will become a sub navigation button under the collection top nav. When a user clicks on a set, or sub nav, Flickfolia will load the photos in that set.

How do I use my own domain?

To point your own domain at your Flickfolia Portfolio you need to go to your domain registrar and add an A record that points to 64.207.157.116. After you set that up, enter your domain without http:// into your Flickfolia admin panel.

How do I add an A record to point my domain?

Here are some instructions based on using Godaddy as your registrar. Most services are similar.
  1. Go to the Zone File Editor for the domain name you want to update.
  2. Click Add New Record. The Add DNS Record window displays.
  3. From the Record type list, select A (Host).
  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Host Name - Enter the host name the A record links to. Type @ to point the record directly to your domain name, including the www.
    • Points to IP Address - Enter 64.207.157.116
    • TTL - Select how long the server should cache the information.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Save Zone File, and then click OK. The new A record displays in the A (Host) section.

How do I change the order of photos?

Flickfolia displays photos in order that they are displayed in Flickr. To change the order simply re-order them in Flickr.

How do I change the navigation order?

Flickfolia displays navigation in order that they are displayed in Flickr. To change the order simply re-order them in Flickr. Sets can be re-ordered in a collection, and collection order can be changed as well.

My photos aren't showing up. Wth?

Make sure your photos are set to public on Flickr. Also, make sure there is a large versions of each photo.

How can I make my logo look good?

We resize logos to a max height of 60 pixels. We suggest basing your aspect ratio using 60 pixels as a guide for height. We suggest using a transparent .png file if you plan to have your photos be full screen.

Can I send a direct link to a gallery?

Yes, in fact you can send a direct link to any set you have on Flickr regardless of whether it's in your navigation bar. Just copy and paste the set id into your url.

My Flickfolia doesn't load all my photos in the set

Flickfolia limits the number of photos to 50 per set. This is to ensure your portfolio loads quickly and always runs smooth. Don't fret, clients typically don't care to see more images per set than that.

How do I cancel my account?

You can cancel your account anytime. Just contact us and let us know why you're canceling. We will stop billing immediately.
